Language Change

Description

Language Change lets you change the language of the telephone softkeys and display messages. You can select any one of the following languages:

* (5312, 5324, 5320/5320e, 5330/5330e, 5340/5340e, 5360 IP Phones only)

+ (5312 and 5324 IP Phones only; Local 1/Local 2 Language installation required; contact your local Mitel representative for assistance)

NOTE: If you attempt to change the language on a phone to a language that is not supported by that phone, the operation will fail and the language will remain unchanged.

Conditions and Feature Interactions

• Language Change applies to all display telephones, 5140 IP Phone, 5240 IP Phone, 5540 IP Console, and 69xx IP Phones.

• The system can support up to three languages at one time.

• Language Change is not supported for Symbol NetVision IP phone, Symbol MiNET Wireless phone, Mitel 5005 IP Phone, or 5205 IP Phone.

• Changing the language of a phone to Swedish, Polish, or Chinese disables Messaging Advisory and any active advisory message.

• Russian, Swedish, and Polish on the Navigator are only supported for text that appears in the device's LCD. They are not supported by the Navigator Task Bar application that runs on the user's PC.

• Chinese characters can only be entered from the Embedded System Management (ESM) or Desktop Tool.

• Date and Time display for Simplified Chinese uses the month number— e.g., 07 for July— rather than the three-letter abbreviation— e.g. Sep for September.

• Local 1 and Local 2 languages are English by default and can be modified by Mitel-authorized personnel to display languages other than those listed above.

Operation

IP Console Applications(MiVoice Business Console)

To change the console interface language:

1. Select Options from the Tools menu.

2. Select Application Settings.

3. Select the language you want.

4. Click Apply or OK.

5010 IP Phone, 5207 IP Phone, 5212 IP Phone, 5312 IP Phone, 5215 IP Phone and 5215 IP Phone (Dual Mode)

To change the display language:

1. Press SuperKey.

2. Press # until Language? appears.

3. Press *.

4. Press *.

5. Press # until the desired language appears.

6. Press *.

5020 IP Phone, 5220 IP Phone and 5220 IP Phone (Dual Mode), 5224 IP Phone, 5324 IP Phone, and Navigator

To change the display language:

1. Press SuperKey.

2. Press No until Language? appears.

3. Press Yes.

4. Press Change.

5. Press No until the desired language appears.

6. Press Yes.

5320/5320e, 5330/5330e, 5340/5340e, 5360 IP Phone

1. Press Settings.

2. Press Languages.

3. Press the language you wish to use on the IP Phone.

4. Press Save.

5140 and 5240 IP Phone

To change the display language:

1. Press SETTINGS.

2. Press More.

3. Press Language.

4. Select the desired language.

5505 IP Phone

To change the display language:

1. Press the display key below MENU on the handset.

2. Scroll down through the choices

3. When you get to Language, press the display key below OK

4. Scroll to the desired language

5. Press OK to select it.

69xx IP Phones

1. Press the (Settings) key on the phone to enter the Static Settings menu.

2. Tap the Language icon.

3. Swipe up and down to view the language available for selection.

4. Tap the preferred language.

5. Tap the Save softkey.

OpenPhone 27

You must set the language of the OpenPhone 27 and the language of the messages that are sent to the phone from MiVoice Business.

To change the internal language of the OpenPhone 27

1. Short press of the key.

2. Press to select Local Mode.

3. Press OK.

4. Press to select Telephone Option.

5. Press OK.

6. Press to select Languages.

7. Press OK.

8. Press to select the desired language.

9. Press OK.

10. Press Esc.

To change the display language messages that are sent by MiVoice Business to the OpenPhone 27 display screen:

1. Long press of the key.

2. Press No  until Language? appears.

3. Press Yes.

4. Press Change.

5. Press No until the desired language appears.

6. Press Yes.
